Mainscape is looking for an experienced landscape Site Foreman at our Fort Knox, Kentucky branch to oversee 13 decorated military/parade homes.  Successful candidate must have walk behind, bed care and install experience and hold a Kentucky spray license.  Professionalism and high standard of character and self worth is a must.  Bilingual is a plus.

Mulch Volcano

What? Should I run for cover? Undoubtedly, you pass within feet of disaster in the making every day. They are noticeable from the expressway and adjacent to sidewalks. If all is quiet, you may hear faint cries of distress. The volcano is not an act of nature forming an island in the Pacific Ocean, but an all too common practice by professional landscapers and private residents. Mulch volcano’s place great stress upon the tree, resulting in decreased vigor and increased susceptibility to pests.

Imprellis Damage or Lack Thereof

Some of you who are tuned into the horticultural world of the newest, latest, and greatest might of heard of a new herbicide product called Imprellis. I attended a seminar in Sarasota in December 2010 put on by the DuPont folks who discovered the molecule, placed it through rigorous testing and research, managed to navigate it through the E.P.A. pipeline and finally get it to market. Behold the peony!

Living in Indiana has many wonderful perks. Indiana is known for the Indianapolis 500, the 2012 Super Bowl, and our Mainscape home office!

One of the best things about living in Indiana is our state flower, the peony.  The peony has been our state flower since 1957. The bloom season is typically from late May until early June. In the past, they have been well-known for decorating weddings, gravesites, and gardens. Today, they are becoming a staple in landscape designs due to their versatile nature.

CREW MEMBER

Crew Member positions needed for snow removal on Fort Drum, NY.  Crew members must be able to work long hours and at night.  Crew members are on call and hours will vary, 30-60 hours per week, late October through March.  Primary responsibilities will be using a Bobcat to snow blow sidewalks and to  shovel snow around fire hydrants and bus stops.
